Around 10,000 fans vacated Anfield in the 77th minute of Saturday's 2-2 draw with Sunderland in the Premier League – an absence that was more noticeable when Sam Allardyce's visiting side recovered a two-goal deficit late on to earn an unlikey draw.
Boardroom talks followed the walkout over the club's decision to increase some ticket prices rise to £77 in the new main stand next season.
Klopp missed the game due to appendicitis, but has undergone an operation and will return to oversee matters in the FA Cup fourth-round replay against West Ham at Upton Park on Tuesday night.
"It is not what we want," said Klopp when asked about the fan protest.
"I heard about it (the walkout).
"Now I know it's my problem too, but I have to collect more information.

"We need to find a solution. We don't want that people leave the stadium before the game is finished."
